I have a problem that I am trying to sort out with my 380-B in that it keeps wanting to flip over on takeoff, I did the recomended gyro reset as posted in another thread but it is still flipping, also I have found it takes ages to get a satellite fix even though I had done the mod using extra copper tape, anyone got any idea's ????

Did you get confirmation when you did the gyro calibration? You should see the LED 'fast flash' red when it saves the new calibration.
Just in case you read it wrong, it is 12-14 toggle of the RTH/Go home switch.

As for the sat problem, mine takes about 2 mins to get a lock.
You could check the unit itself for damage although i expect any damage would stop it working completely.
Some older models had the GPS installed upside down so you could check that. The ceramic square should face the sky.

I find auto take off a bit tame....The only near flip I had was using auto, and it was due to one of the legs getting snagged in the grass.
I now use the 'Punch it' method to get off the ground.

mine tips sometimes too but the method i like is to hold it with my right hand up over my head and then hold the auto take off button to take off, and then to land at about 10 or 12 feet press the auto button again and catch it underneath.

Mine does similar, auto take off always seems to tip slightly, prefer and use manual all the time now
