Hi, I am Andrew (Drew), and live in the North West of UK
This my first 'proper' quadcopter and am so far, very pleased with it.

Was nervous at first after reading some of the horror stories, but looks like I have a good one.

Hello XK380 family. My name is William Mjema, I have been living in Finland for the past 25 years but I originally come from Kilimanjaro, Tanzania in East Africa. I got interested in this hobby because I need to take aerial photographs/videos from Finland and Tanzania, both of which have magnificent sceneries. Looking forward to discussions and mutual help from this group. Keep on flying!

Hi everyone, busdriver101 here from just outside Edinburgh Scotland ( Dave ) glad this forum was setup. I am also new to this great hobby just started flying my tarantula x6 my first quad during the summer then decided to get my first GPS one so I just got my x380 3 weeks ago only flown it about 4 times did all the calibrations at 2 different locations, first was large open field and then at large football park at sport centre I only get GPS lock the 2 green flashing lights for about 5 to 10 min of flying then red and green flashing lights less than 6 sats, do you think trying another area to calibrate compass or could x380 be a faulty one, can anyone help with my problem I got mine from gearbest

cheers busdriver101

Hi, my name is Richard from Puerto Rico. Just signed up to this forum today as recommended by a fellow in the rcforum.
Had flight #100 today with my XK(1) and flight #12 with my XK(2). Not one problem flight so far with either quad flying most of the time in windy conditions (15-20kts) and tight spaces.
Did everything (mods, etc.) by the "book" the guys at rcforum wrote before I took to the air for the first time with either quads.

Hi, my name is Mark and i live in Dorset U.K
I got my 380 on xmas eve from Gearbest EU while they had a huge discount on it cheers
While i was at it i got the cheap 2 axis PTZ gimbal and an Amkov 5000s(which had a big discount as well).
£219 all in.

Took it out the day after boxing day and loved it. So easy to fly this one.
1st stress free quad flight i have had (previous experience with a SymaX5 and an MJX600)
Here is the first flight from the 5000s (oops cant do that yet)

Has some nice features on this quad like the FAP modes and seems to work well straight out the box and after doing the magnetic sensor calibration. (despite stories i had read over past few months about it disappearing, never to be seen again).  Sad

I did do the GPS shielding mod and checked connections and solder points while i had the cover off.
Looked tidy inside with ESC connections fastened with a 'blob' from a glue gun.
There was quite a long tear in the original copper shield where the cable comes through, But thats was what I was there to Improve on anyway.
Just ordered some bits for a TX range Mod and RX/TX for FPV.
Still deciding on what screen and antennas to use with it.
Ill be back with more info soon  pirat
