crashed my x

i got my x380c model from hobbyking, ordered it on a Thursday and got it onthe very next Monday and all worked good but seemed to have a drifting issue but i could controle it enough to land safely but it caught me off guard and flew into some tree limbs aand landed upside down. I patched it up but now the status light in rear does not come on and the gimble just quivers. the blue light inside comes on and also when i hook it to the flight control i have no GPS. i can fly it now and headlock works but forward is still forward and back still back and it still has one touch take off and land but i do have to keep it steady with the GPS out of it and i dont want to try go home. i am going to get another one because this one is the photo model but i would like to fix this one, anyone know what could be wrong. I just took it out for a night flight and it will auto land when the bat leavle gets low thankfuly it is a dead calm tonite. Ireally love this quad and would not have any other,

If it landed upside down it could have broke the GPS module as that is in the top part of the body after a crash like that I would advise take it apart and have a good look inside and see if anything has come lose

I took the eyepice out of an old camcorder  and used it as a magnifyer and did`nt see anything except the little metel cover was bent and nocked of then i looked a little closer and sure enough there is a small hair line crack across the white ceramic pad so ordered another and also the stock FPV ,,, some how i cant figure out how to upload pics and vids and i still want to order another x380 these videos are awsome

while looking around inside my x i saw some more broken parts  and i wander if anyone knows where i could pick a couple of these up, i wish i had seen that before i ordered the GPS module.

You may be best off with a new FC board and possibly a new GPS unit. That must have been quite a knock it took.
I have now had 5 crashes but only 1 I would consider to be a big knock and luckily nothing broken yet.
You have spotted the couple of cracked bits but there could be more that you cant see.
A new FC can be bought for it along with the GPS. I dont think they cost too much.
They may be listed on this forum in the 'spares section'
I'll have a look and add them if they are not there.

yes that metal plate that goes on the GPS is vary hard to bend , I tried to straighten it but yes i did order a new GPS. $42, and a new fc board, $62 with shipping from XT- xinte but the funny thing is it flies great with the gps out of it and it does auto land when the bat level gets low and it still has head lock. I just have to stay on top of it but i have it appart now and will wait for the parts to come it,, will keep posting

My guess is those broken bits on the FC are related to that plug that you can trace the route from.
I think the GPS just keeps it's horizontal position stable. There is a barometer that takes care of vertical position.
I'm guessing the magnetic sensor keeps the yaw axis stable.
Which is why mine went off on a large arc when I swapped the leg that holds it from front to back of quad.
That was a 'ditch' into the sand for fear of losing it to the sea.
Dont ask why i swapped it....Well if you insist, someone suggested that the magnets in his gimbal were affecting the sensor and causing some erratic movement, so i wanted to see if swapping mine helped it keep position better
I've decided that some days are just better than others for how it behaves

yah i cracked it up a little but i used this epoxy putty and it really sets hard. I had to form a pocket for two of the landing gears and one of the motor mounts and it really stiffened the arms, and also one motor turned like you were turning a 2 cycle motor, so i took that apart and found two of the magnits had slipped so i super glued them back into place, I guess this will be my test bed but I will be getting another x380 for my videos but I`m not in that profession,,, I have a question, can I used the stock camera I got with my c model for FPV and OSD?

That's pretty good going to get it back working so quickly.
the stock cam should be fine for FPV as its a copy of the sj4000 and for osd you will need to add something like the Tarot OSD mod to the 380. I havnt looked into OSD yet, just briefly in passing, while I get my FPV set up.
