Is this the monitor that comes with the x250 Alien?
That monitor is fitted with a 5.8Ghz 8 channel receiver.
My best guess would be if that as long as the channels match to your transmitter it would pick up the signal.
As to effective range with this type of RX and antenna that is installed, May not be great, but not having tested one I could be wrong,

Hi M_Levitation it is the stock monitor for x380 I think it must have receiver built in, as it only had a transmitter with it in the box to go on the side of x380 the monitor has a built in battery to run it, also do you know how to take a photo with this setup it is the stock gimbal and FPV system but camera was not but it is the same model sj4000 I think you press the centre of the wheel but nothing no still photo's maybe there is a cable missing can you or anyone help. Cheers Dave

If it came with its own transmitter then should have no problem getting it to work with the 380.
all you need to do is use the usb on the 4000 to connect to the transmitter with the right lead(i'll link the one I use with my 5000s which im sure is the same). Then run power from the 380 or use a separate cell to the transmitter.
I dont think you can have a photo button function with this cam but I may be mistaken. The only thing you can do is set the cam for 'time lapse' so it it takes a pic every second or so and look for the ones to keep when you return. The buttong that says photo on the 380 is misleading, it serves as tilt adjustment and when pressed starts/stops FAP mode.
Best micro usb cam lead I have tried as yet

Hi, I can't find a 'time lapse' setting on my sj4000 do you know where it is, I see what you mean about the photo button it does stop & start video only.

maybe the 4000 does not have a time lapse like on the 5000.

I didnt think the button on the tx was a trigger for video either. all mine does is turn on and off 'Fly around point' Mode. Where you press it once and pull the stick back...when you release the stick the 380 will fly around the starting point keeping the front facing inwards.
